Community Spotlight: Total Mind & Body in Downtown Round Rock

When back pain, sinus pressure, or foot pain starts interfering with your day, it helps to have someone who listens carefully and looks at the whole picture.

That is one reason I wanted to introduce you to Total Mind & Body, an acupuncture and herbal medicine practice located conveniently in downtown Round Rock.

Total Mind & Body is led by Louise M. Lacoste, L.Ac. According to her professional bio, Louise is a licensed, nationally board-certified acupuncturist with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. Her background also includes more than 15 years as a teacher and tutor—experience that comes through in the time she takes to listen, explain, and help patients understand their care. Learn more about Louise.

I can speak from personal experience about how caring Louise is. She has helped me with back pain, sinus pressure, and foot pain. I appreciate that she pays attention to what is happening, asks thoughtful questions, and never makes the appointment feel rushed.

The practice offers traditional acupuncture, auricular acupuncture or acupressure, herbal consultations, and on-site acupuncture. Depending on the treatment plan, Louise may also incorporate options such as cupping, an infrared heat lamp, ear seeds, or herbal recommendations. View the current treatment options.

If you have never tried acupuncture, Louise’s approach makes it easier to feel comfortable asking questions. The Total Mind & Body website explains that an initial appointment includes a detailed health history, an examination, and a treatment plan based on the individual’s concerns. Read what to expect at a first visit.

The location is another plus. Total Mind & Body is at 400 W. Main Street, Suite 218, placing it close to downtown Round Rock’s restaurants, shops, and businesses.
